Treasury Accountant

 

Vianode is looking for a Treasury Accountant to join our Finance team at Skøyen, Oslo.

Our first industrial plant for the production of anode graphite is under construction in Norway, with start of production scheduled for the second half of 2024. The next phase will involve construction of a large-scale plant, and this is in the planning stage, with production targeted during 2027.

To support our exciting growth phase, we are now hiring for the position of Junior Controller. The role reports to the Accounting Manager.

You will have a central function in the company’s accounting department and take part in the gradual build-up of an independent accounting function in Vianode. Training and support will be provided both from the manager and the accounting and controlling team.

Key responsibilities in the role:

  • Maintain and ensure that the invoice flow is efficient and of high-quality.
  • Maintain and ensure on-time payments and assist with cash flow analysis for the company and group companies.
  • Bank reconciliation for the company and group companies.
  • Assist with production of monthly financial statements in accordance with quality requirements and deadlines.
  • Assist with balance reconciliations.
  • Assist with production of the yearly financial statements and contact with the auditor.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of processes and routines.
  • Propose improvement projects with regards to streamlining and development of processes and routines.  
  • Be a link between the departments in Vianode.
  • Ensure transfer and development of routines in collaboration with the owners Hydro & Altor as well as former owner Elkem.

Qualifications: 

  • Higher education within accounting or finance
  • Experience with AP/AR handling and treasury functions such as remittance, bank reconciliations or other will be an advantage.
  • Preferably 1-3 years of similar experience from accounting preferably with experience within development of accounting processes
  • Graduates will be considered depending on motivation and maturity.
  • Interest in technology and IT-systems, preferably ERP-systems.
  • Good skills in Excel and knowledge of Power BI
  • The company reports in accordance with IFRS. Knowledge of IFRS will be an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate across departments in an international environment.
